About Amy & Art of Reinvention

Art of Reinvention was born of my own reinvention, and fueled by two of my greatest passions: photography and travel, both of which have carried me through the tides of my life. 

I provide a full range of travel planning services, from luxury hotel bookings, group and wellness retreats, romance and honeymoons, private villas and residences, solo travel, female-only, cruise and expeditions, multi-stop custom itineraries, or anywhere in the world you set your heart to.. your journey starts with me. 

From the better part of 20 years, I spent my career as a professional photographer with a focus on newborn, maternity, and first year of life portraits (The Newborn Lens).   I traded my photo studio for the world, and set my sights on  luxury travel. In 2019, I graduated from Protravel International's Journeys program, and took my first steps as a professional travel advisor.  I fell madly in love with the industry and people, and never looked back. 

In 2023, I started my own business, Art of Reinvention,  a place to bring all my skills under one roof, and a place for my clients to find reinvention through travel & art.  Being a professional  photographer and luxury travel advisor requires a great deal of patience, ability to multi-task, technical understanding, organization, ever-evolving perspectives, strong creative direction, creative drive, software skills, and a passion for client services.  Through this unique skillset I'm able to offer my clients the world.

The journey is never a straight line, and I'm grateful for every step. In addition to travel and photography, I enjoy cooking, listening to music, changes in seasons, change in general, market days, Texas-sized patios, Texas-sized happy hours, wood-burning fires, hot thermal baths, beautiful quiet nooks, luxury spas, my Egyptian roots, and following my various whims and curiosities. 

I live in Bethesda, MD with my husband, our beautiful children, and our adorably naughty floof, Havi.
