About Amy & Art of Reinvention

Art of Reinvention was born of my own reinvention, and fueled by two of my greatest passions: travel and photography, both of which carried me through the tides of my life. 

I provide a range of professional travel services ranging from wellness, honeymoons, girls getaways, family & multi-gen, solo, ultra-luxury (w/ VIP privileges), private villas, cruises, expeditions, multi-stop custom itineraries, or anywhere in the world you set your heart to. Your journey starts here. 

From the better part of 20 years (age is just a number), I spent my career as a professional photographer with a focus on newborn babies (The Newborn Lens).  In 2019, I was ready to trade my photo studio for the world, and set my sights on  luxury travel, by way of Protravel International's Journey's program, where I first became an accredited travel advisor.  I fell immediately in love with the people and industry. One pandemic and a few turns later, I started my own brand, Art of Reinvention, a place for my clients to find reinvention through travel & art.

Being a professional photographer (especially with newborns) involves a great deal of patience, technical understanding, changing perspectives, strong creative direction, software and photo editing skills, and a passion for people and client services.  Through my unique skillsets across the travel and photography industries, I'm able to offer my clients a unique suite of travel planning and photography print/design services, which blend beautifully together.  

The journey is never a straight line, and I'm grateful for every step that led me here. In addition to travel and photography, I enjoy cooking, listening to music (both of those simultaneously, ideally), changes in seasons, change (in general), Texas-sized patios, thermal baths, quiet nooks, luxury spas, my Egyptian roots, and following my various whims and curiosities. I live in Bethesda, MD with my husband, our two kids, & our adorably naughty floof, Havi the Havanese.
