Join The Charleston Coach for a cozy Mahjong retreat at The Lodge at Woodloch, an adults-only luxury spa resort in the Pennsylvania Poconos from May 13-15, 2026.
The retreat will focus on connection, play, and a little escape from the everyday. This curated experience blends social American Mahjong, thoughtful retreat touches, and community-centered fun, relaxation, and restoration.
Registration Fee (Non-refundable):
- Early Bird Registration (Before Feb. 28): $300
- Regular Registration (After Feb 28): $375
2-Night Accommodation Package Options:
1. Single Occupancy Accommodations (Private room):
- $1,638.00 per adult, all-inclusive, (Rates do not include 7.5% PA State & County Taxes and 20% service fee. Total including taxes & fees is $2,113.02)
2. Double Occupancy Accommodations (Shared room)
- $1,438.00 per adult, all-inclusive (Rates do not include 7.5% PA State & County Taxes and 20% service fee. Total including taxes & fees is $1,855.02)
INCLUDED IN ALL ROOM PACKAGES:
- The Charleston Coach's's hosted Mahjong programming, including group play, Aquamahj, tournament, and exclusive Troop Mahjong retreat merit badge
- Two-Nights’ Lodging at The Lodge at Woodloch
- Inclusive Meal Plan (6 meals total: Wednesday: Lunch and Dinner; Thursday: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner; Friday: Breakfast)
- Use of All Resort Facilities, including Hydro Massage, Water Walls, Pool Facilities, Cardio Weight Studio, and all spa facilities.
- High-Speed Wireless Internet Access
Cancellation: Your room is refundable upon receipt of cancellation FOURTEEN (14) days prior to arrival date. If cancellation is received between FOURTEEN (14) and TWO (2) days prior to arrival date, your deposit will be held for ONE YEAR to be applied to a future reservation based on availability. If cancellation is received less than TWO (2) days prior to arrival date, your deposit will be forfeited.
A La Carte Services and Treatments: All accommodations, meals, and activities are included in your room rate, but you will be personally responsible for paying for your own alcohol and private activities, such as spa treatments.
Familiarity with American Mahjong is recommended, but not required.

Jill Thomas, Founder, The Charleston Coach
Jill teaches modern, beginner-friendly American Mahjong for curious players across the Washington DC region. A lifelong lover of games and gatherings, she fell in love with Mahjong the way many do: over a shared table, lots of laughter, and a little confusion about the Charleston. What started as a personal hobby quickly turned into a passion for helping others feel confident, connected, and totally charmed by the tiles. By day, Jill works in communications. By nights and weekends, she's helping folks decode the card, learn the lingo, and fall in love with this beautiful game.
